This 51-Year-Old Man Has Survived Kidney Dialysis For 25 Years; Is Now An Inspiration For Patients

A 51-year-old farmer from Chikkamagaluru, who has been on dialysis for 25 years, is one of the longest-surviving kidney patients in the state. Now, he’s turned motivator for patients fighting a similar battle.

According to experts, the average lifespan of kidney patients undergoing dialysis is between 5 and 10 years. TL Sathish, on the other hand, has outlived conventional medical logic.

An officebearer of the Bengaluru Hemodialysis Association, Sathish conducts counselling, motivational speeches, yoga classes and offers financial aid to other patients. On Saturday, St John’s Hospital felicitated him for completing 25 years on dialysis.
