Former WWE writer RD Evans tweeted out a video late Tuesday night discussing his version of events that occurred during WrestleMania weekend and his exit from WWE.
Reports from April stated that Evans got fired from WWE for using Vince McMahon’s name in his script for Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s speech. However, later reports stated Evans quit the company after learning McMahon was upset with the speech. In his video statement, Evans states it was his decision to quit WWE. Evans also has changed his name on social media to “Quitman” in honor of Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s famed nickname.
In the video, Evans states he will wrestle only Orange Cassidy for food since it’s a match that Road Dogg would hate. Road Dogg stepped down from his position as head writer of SmackDown Live over WrestleMania weekend as well. You can watch Evans’ video below:
