When Dan Goergen was a high school senior, he was wrestling in regional finals when he dislocated his shoulder.
The doctor gave him two options.
“Have surgery now and you’ll be able to hold your son someday, or I could put it back into place and you could wrestle,” Austin Goergen said of his dad’s diagnosis. “But if (the shoulder) comes out again, we don’t know if you’ll be able to hold your son or raise your arm up.
