Men & Women’s Raw Survivor Series Teams, Captains for Tag Match

WWE will be hosting their annual Survivor Series event this Sunday, and the show will once again see both brands go to war. The champions from both brands are scheduled to take part in a couple of Champion vs. Champion matches, and there will also be three traditional 5-on-5 elimination matches between Raw and SmackDown competitors as well. The SmackDown roster’s teams for the elimination matches have been set for a while now, but the Raw teams have remained a bit of a mystery over the past few weeks. However, during last night’s edition of the show, all of the participants for both the men and women’s elimination matches for Monday Night Raw were finally determined by the team captains.

On Raw last night, Finn Balor defeated Dolph Ziggler in order to qualify for a spot on the Raw men’s team, and Bobby Lashley was also able to get a win over Elias to earn the final spot. Lashley and Balor will now join Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman, and Drew McIntyre on the Raw team led by Baron Corbin. Also on yesterday’s episode of Raw, captain Alexa Bliss announced her picks for the Raw women’s team. It will be Nia Jax, Tamina, Ruby Riott, Natalya, and Mickie James teaming up to take on Naomi, Sonya Deville, Asuka, Carmella, and another unannounced woman from SmackDown. These two elimination matches will be taking place during WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view later this weekend.

In addition to the regular Raw vs. SmackDown elimination matches at Survivor Series, there will also be a third 5-on-5 elimination match during the show, but this one will consists of tag teams from both shows. The Usos already won the right to serve as captains for WWE’s blue brand. During Raw last night, a battle royal was held to determine the captains for the Raw team. Although teams such as The Revival, Lucha House Party, and The B Team all tried to emerge as the last team standing, it was none other than Bobby Roode and Chad Gable who won the match. Roode and Gable eliminated The Ascension last to win the match, and as a result, they will officially be the captains for Raw during the tag team elimination match on Sunday.
